Vacuum Cleaner Bags

If you own a vacuum cleaner long enough it's going to break down. When that happens what do you do? Think about vacuum repairs or think about getting a new one. Repairing an old vacuum cleaner isn't a bad idea, especially if it is a good quality model that has served you well.

Vacuum repair isn't something that is advertised too strongly in the promotional material of most vacuum cleaner manufacturers. Not surprising really, as they want to tell you about the amazing cleaning power and nifty design of their latest models. However, you would do well to make inquiries about their policy of vacuum repairs before you buy. Does the manufacturer have a large distributor network that can handle vacuum cleaner repairs? If not, maybe you should look for another vacuum cleaner?

If your vacuum cleaner is still under warranty and it breaks down, never, ever attempt to make vacuum repairs yourself as you'll make the guarantee null and void. You should only follow the maintenance guidelines of the manufacturer, such as, emptying your bag as soon as it's full, cleaning the brushes, unblocking the hose etc. Even after the warranty period has expired and your vacuum breaks down do not attempt to make vacuum repairs unless you know what you're doing. You're much better advised to contact your vacuum manufacturers distributor and ask them to fix the vacuum. Always get a fixed price for the repair before you agree let them fix it - you don't want any unpleasant surprises.

The best vacuum cleaners can, and do, last a lifetime. When they break down after many years of service it can often be the most cost effective solution to make vacuum repairs on your old, trusted appliance.
